From Sunday Chillings by the pool to a whole weekend of open-air cinema. The renovated Hotel de Beyaerd picks up this summer with a diverse range of summer activities. Naas our hotel guests, we also want guests from the surrounding area to enjoy our beautiful product. We are actually a kind of resort, where you really feel ‘on holiday’. Look at those people relaxing on the lounge beds by our pool. So during the Sunday Chillings, this is also possible for local residents,' Esmee de Keijzer points out.
 

Veluwe summer
The idea for a more active summer programme was somewhat copied from resorts abroad, which of course always do this very well on a daily basis. The past summers here in the Netherlands were top in terms of temperature and sunshine, so then we started thinking about what activities we could offer, for both hotel guests and people from the surrounding area. The first activity starts on 7 July and is a BBQ with live music. 'In case of emergency, we of course also have a bad weather alternative'indicates Esmee. The BBQ will be fully catered for on the cosy terrace belonging to De Veluwse Huyskamer and embellished by a musical duo from Zwolle, who will play atmospheric music ranging from their own work to covers by John Mayer and Billie Eilish, among others. Later in July, Sunday Chills at the Pool will be added.
 

An outline: swimming, drinking cocktails (including non-alcoholic) by the pool and enjoying nice lounge tunes by the DJ followed by a delicious 3-course dinner, which can therefore also be booked without a hotel stay.
 

Beyaerd Open Air Cinema
As icing on the cake, there will be a genuine Open Air Cinema in the weekend of 11-12-13 August, which can also be booked in combination with a 3-course dinner in De Veluwse Huyskamer or with a hotel package.  A perfect summer evening from 7pm until just before midnight.  With this activity too, we hope that local residents will be able to find us more often in the future. You already see that people often find our location as a stopover or at the end of a walk, just for the restaurant. We want to expand this in the coming period.
